OKAY YOU LOT! LOOK LIVELY!
BUMBLE BEE PROPAGANDA WEEK.
If 100,000 of us planted just ONE new PLANT in our garden today, we could boost the bee population significantly. Even if you have a tiny garden, window box or balcony you can still do your bit.
You can help by growing more flowers. Yes! It’s that simple. Flowers produce nectar and bees feed on it. Give in to a floral frenzy and plant aplenty everything and anything your heart desires. Here’s a list of nectar producing plants to suit all gardens.
Aquilegias, budlejas, campanulas, digitalis, eryngiums, honeysuckles, lavenders, mahonias, quince, penstemons, roses, scabious, verbenas, verbascums to name but a few.
Join my PLANT FOR BEES campaign and let’s make a REAL DIFFERENCE. Be nice and give a ‘Thumbs up’ for every flower you plant, so we can assess how this campaign is working. Okay. Clock’s ticking, let’s get planting and see if we can get our first 100 bee champions. Hum along …
“BEE are the champions, Bee are the champions …”
Love Lucy xx
There has been a lot of hysterical reporting on bees dying out but for a sage view of the Bee status follow the links to find out more.
